Jennifer Young MA CMC CAFM

Jennifer Young

Dealing with complex governance and corporate structures, Jennifer guides her clients through change – developing leaders and teams to drive success, creating organizations that are focused on the future while understanding their past.

Jennifer brings strong facilitation, analysis, research, planning, problem-solving, project management, and communications skills to all her assignments. She has performed organizational and operational reviews; conducted administrative, human resources, operational and financial systems evaluations; led process mapping assignments; facilitated change for partnerships; developed governance models; written comprehensive strategic and business plans; conducted quantitative and qualitative research studies; produced feasibility studies; and facilitated comprehensive community planning processes.

A Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM), Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Geography from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from University of Victoria.


Marilyn Butland BComm CMC

Marilyn Butland

Guiding clients in their relations with people who matter to them, Marilyn’s professional and practical experience in communications and marketing is grounded in sensitivity and common sense, and diverse networks and knowledge of organizations throughout the province, particularly in Labrador.

Marilyn guides businesses in branding and marketing campaigns, collateral materials, and media relations. Her research and analysis of policy issues helps industry associations, institutions and special interest groups influence people.

With close to thirty years of agency and government experience, Marilyn is a Certified Management Consultant, an accredited Partnership Broker, and a certified Public Participation Practitioner, with Memorial University MBA courses and a Bachelor of Commerce.


Jeff Collingwood B Comm MBA

Jeff Collingwood

For over twenty years Jeff has managed relationships; developed and implemented business and marketing strategies working closely with a range of stakeholders in the private, public and social sectors – helping business understand the difference among symptoms, issues and problems. In business “everything is connected” and Jeff provides a holistic approach linking business strategy, human resource development, marketing, finance and performance management. Most recently he has worked with a select group of clients in the high tech, healthcare, construction, engineering/architecture and recreation/tourism sectors. Jeff Collingwood is a life long learner, while working full time he completed his MBA at Memorial University, graduating with Dean’s list honours in 2011.

On the personal side, he has an active family; stays fit running, swimming and bicycling regularly. In the community Jeff volunteers – he is chair of Cantus Vocum Chamber Choir, a dedicated Rotarian serving as chair of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, a mentor for Junior Achievement delivering the business basics program to students, provides communications and marketing counsel as a member of the board of the Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador and is the president of the Athletics NorthEAST Running Club.


Sue Whiteway BA BComm

Sue Whiteway

Smoothing language and wrangling details to ensure understanding is Sue’s passion. An experienced technical writer, copy writer, and publishing consultant, she has worked extensively in scholarly publishing in both the humanities and sciences.

Sue brings strong stylistic editing, structural editing, and proofreading experience to the Nestu’et Team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from Memorial University.
